Hey,
So if you are wondering why it seems I have fell off the earth recently, it is because I have been enjoying myself far too much at festivals and spending time with my lovely friends. Possibly, one of the best summer’s of my life… to date!
Yesterday I came back from Creamfields, which can I just say, was the best weekend of my life, but what made it even better is I went with two of my favourite people! If you love dance music then this is the festival for you 100%!
As this was the last festival of my summer and it finished it off amazingly, I think it is definitely time for me to start getting my life more organised and prepare myself for the final year of my university course (slightly nervous)…
I have been trying so hard to get myself back to the gym (but trust me it has took an awful lot of willpower), and make sure that I am not just spending all my spare time blobbing about the house. I will be attempting to go about 4 times a week and eating a lot healthier, but as we all know the food at festivals exactly healthy gourmet food haha. Although, these curly fries were on of the strong highlights from the weekend!!!
With University in mind and the amount of work that I am going to be doing, I visited a lovely little cafe with my mate Liv just to see what it was like as it has only recently opening in Hinckley.
It is the cutest little cafe called Carter’s Lounge, just around the corner from where I work. I think I have definitely found the perfect little place to sit, relax, have a coffee kick and getting some work and essays done. I don’t think you can beat a little place like this to get your head down and some work done!
I had the most delicious Latte, which was lovely and creamy and Liv had a Soya Cappuccino. Obviously, I had to have the Millionaire Shortbread because I am a sucker for them.
It reminds me of the little quirky places you can find in London, which is a breath of fresh air as where I live it struggles for places like this. Where you can just visit when you fancy some time out and a nice chin wag with your mates.
Also, another thing I have just started watching ‘Friday Night Dinner’, which is hilarious and definitely worth a watch if you like something similar to ‘The Inbetweeners’.
This was quite a short post, but it was just an update on what I have been doing and getting up to over the last couple months that I have been away from blogging.
If you know any cute cafes like this leave it in the comments, if I am ever in that area I would definitely pop in for a coffee.
