Staying Happy and Motivated.

Staying Happy and Motivated.

I think one of the most important things for me, is making sure that I stay happy and motivated. Sometimes, certain things happen in life, which knock you back a bit and you need to boost yourself back up again, but I have learnt from now on that I just need to take some time, to chill out not worry about anything.

My recent trip away to Brighton with my cousin did me a world of good! It made me feel so much better just to get away, not worry about anything back where I live, and just chill out. Also, Charl is just as stupid as me so we alway’s have a fab time together. Also, there are so many quirky people in Brighton you can literally be whoever you want to be there it is fab!!! Highly recommend Brighton for a getaway to just pick yourself up again.

With everyone’s summer holidays just around the corner, I have been trying hard to keep myself in the mind set of getting fit and feeling better. However…. sometimes this is a massive challenge when it is a rainy day and all you want to do is just curl on the sofa and watch some rubbish TV.

One classic thing that I am guilty of is going to sleep thinking, I am going to absolutely smash the gym tomorrow…. when tomorrow comes around I just can’t pluck up the courage to make myself look semi nice to attempt the gym. Surprisingly though recently, I have actually been alright at getting myself to the gym aiming to go three times a week minimum to make myself feel more toned and ready for my holidays. I normally finish my gym session with a sun bed to make myself feel even better. Although, life isn’t all about the gym and looking good, it sure does help you feel a little less blobby 😉

Whenever I am feeling down, I am so lucky to have a fabulous group of friends, that I can alway’s rely on to pick me up when I am feeling like hitting the Ben & Jerry’s pot… (trust me I could eat about three).

I think surrounding yourself with people who really know you, and know how to cheer you up is the best thing. I am not down that often, but I know a lot of people are and hopefully this post will help you to bring yourself out of that mindset, and to get up and out there and enjoy what you have around you.

I am a sucker for wanting to just sit in my room for the day and ignore the world, but sod it. For me now I want to do something great with each and everyday just to make sure that I am having the best time.

Thanks for reading, I hope it helped cheer you up a bit and got you thinking more positive but if not, then why not just treat yourself to a gin and tonic, this is also another one of my tricks to keep myself happy.. 😉

Great name for a bar: Elbow Room! There are so many things that can inspire and challenge us on a daily basis, there’s no need to let them frustrate us as well…sometimes “rubbish TV” is what we all need!
