Why I started blogging.

When it comes to blogging we all have different reasons for why we start our own, and I find posts like this interesting to read.

For me blogging is something that I alway’s wanted to do, but I never had the right moment come along, where I thought I would be good enough to do it. I think the biggest thing about blogging is having people that actually want to read your content, I mean it would be pretty pointless is not… and before starting it I didn’t think people would be interested.

As I am currently studying Business and Marketing at Coventry University, it pushed me to start my little blog. I remember we had a seminar on how to start a blog, and get your presence known online. They said it would be really useful especially for us Marketing students when going to interviews and having something in our extracurricular to talk about and present. This sold it to me, and when I got home I got straight onto WordPress and started designing. The biggest part of my blog for me to get right was the title and the font I chose for it as this is the first thing that every viewer sees. At the minute I am happy with the one I have chosen, but trust me it was not a quick fix… it took me many months of changing it every week! I only chosen the theme I wanted about 2 months into blogging which I paid for because I just loved it.

Being creative is something that I have alway’s loved to do… I find it so relaxing and love it when I have created something I am proud of. My blog is something that I love to edit and change around especially, on my days off. I love just sitting in the garden when it’s sunny, and I can write up a post and think of the perfect photos to take for it. I am obsessed with taking photos and editing them, so having my blog has allowed me to have somewhere other my Instagram to show them.

My blog has given me something to focus on and enjoy doing in my spare time. It makes even better that people enjoy what I am writing about. I recently hit 100 followers on my blog which yes is not an awful lot, but its an achievement for me and I was sooooooooo happy.

I hope you have enjoyed reading this post, I would love to hear in the comments why you started your blog and how it has helped you,

Thank you so much for reading,

  1. Blogging has always been a way for me to share my interests in film, books, music, travel and food – because there are so many others who like to share similar interests, and it creates a worldwide dialogue!

  2. I love hearing blorigins (blog origins can we make this thing? Cos we all know fetch is never going to be a thing)
I love reading how many different reasons people have. I lost who I was to motherhood and life. I wanted to learn to be me again. Thanks for sharing with us though x

  3. Nice post. To be honest I still don’t know where my blog is headed. I self published two stories in the last two years and like most writers I suffer from a cripling self-doubt. I guess my blog is an attempt to keep the “wheels greased” and toss out different thoughts and ideas. We bloggers can only hope that others find some entertainment or even food for thought from the material we share.
