If you keep up to date with my blog and social media you will know that I am slightly obsessed with my dogs, and when I say slightly I mean I have lost the plot…
If you love dogs like me you will love this post haha! Little Bon is 3 years old, today after we adopted her from the RSPCA 2 years ago!
The recipe for the cupcakes is at the bottom of this post if you wanted to treat your doggies.
I mean some people may see the outfit as over the top, I just see it as genius haha, if you want to buy it you can get it from Pets at Home.
Party Animal Hat:- £5
It’s My Birthday Sash:- £4
But obviously you cannot have a birthday without some cake, so Mum made some doggy friendly cupcakes that both of them could have. The recipe was found online and we made sure to put gluten-free flour as it is better for them.
The cakes turned out really cute and Suzie loved them bless her. We also made sure that they had no grain in them either as the grain can have cause Bonnie’s eyes to stain.
- 1 cup coconut flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 heap cup of shredded carrots
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/3 cup coconut oil (can also use olive oil)
- 1/4 cup peanut butter
- 1 large egg
- Bacon strips for topping (optional)
We used normal icing for the top just to make them look cute but we took these off before feeding them to the dogs.
I would recommend to only give them one per dog, just to make sure that their stomachs agree with it.
The recipe was copied from: – https://chemistrycachet.com/grain-free-dog-birthday-cupcakes/
Bonnie and Suzie have had the best day so far, I mean if you can’t go full-out on your dogs birthday when can you!
Hope you enjoy this post, if you do give it a like and leave a comment.
