So, you may not have noticed… I mean let’s be honest you probably haven’t, but I have not been posting as much due to all my uni work I had to complete. Which yes was very stressful but now it is over the relief you feel is amazing.
University can put huge pressures on you that you didn’t even know was possible, until you feel your brain turn to mush. The thought of how I was going to feel after finishing was one of the things that got me through and also the fact that I would be able to relax for a little while and just turn my brain off.
For some reason the deadlines for final year were not to kind to me, on the 29th April this is what I had do:-
8,000 word Dissertation
2,000 word Report
1 minute Video Pitch
and a 2 hour exam in the evening…
Yes, this was all on one day, how CRAZY. Not sure who in the university decided that was fair but hey it was a challenge. Also, whilst having all these things to do I was still trying to have a life on the side.
It is safe to say that the gym went out the window for a good solid month or so, oops!
I have so many lovely things planned now though, such as spending time with friends and my boyfriend, a little trip to London for the day and plenty of cocktail drinking.
I am not going to lie the feeling having finished now is lovely, the knowing that you can wake up and plan what you want to do for the day and not having to revise in between everything is fab. Although, feels weird that I am not doing those things for some reason I feel slightly guilty that I am not, haha.
If you are nearing the end of your degree and you are struggling to keep yourself going, my tip is to have supportive people around you and make sure you plan loads of lovely things for when you finish that way, you have something to look forward too and you aren’t just stuck doing nothing when you finish.
Hope you enjoyed this post, I will be posting every Wednesday and Sunday now just to keep it more consistent so keep an eye out!
