This is quite a different post, filled with ideas, for if you wanted to host your own little afternoon tea for you and your friends. Putting all of this together didn’t break the bank and was so much fun to set up and make it look really pretty. So it is worth giving a go just for something different and if you can’t be bothered going out!
You may not think it but I did this afternoon tea for two people, so you could say I went a little overboard haha… My eyes are definitely bigger than my belly (it’s a problem).
Afternoon Tea consisted of:- TEA (shocker), CUPCAKES, PROSECCO, POPCORN, CRISPS, SCOTCH EGGS, SAUSAGE ROLLS, ECLAIRS, AND SANDWICHES.
TEA POT SET: So I bought the cute little tea set from Asda, it wasn’t very expensive. I think for the tea, sugar and milk pot it cost me around £15 all together, which I think is a bargain.
STRAWS: These were just from the pound shop and were paper ones that were tropical themed.
TEA CUP AND SAUCER: My friend Liv brought round the tea cups as her mum had them at home but they were perfect for what we needed them for.
PINK CHINA POTS: I bought these just to put the scotch eggs and pork sausages in and they were £1 each from Poundland.
SILVER TRAY FOR SANDWICHES: From Asda for £2, just so I had somewhere to display the sandwiches and mini sausage rolls.
POPCORN BOWL: Poundland aswell… WOW I sound like such a big spender haha! I know some of the stuff from Poundland can be rubbish and quite tacky at times, but for things like this it was perfect, just so you don’t need to spend a fortune.
NAPKINS (EAT YOUR CAKE AND EAT IT): Asda did well with the napkins when I went in they had some good sayings on them.
CUPCAKES: You can buy these in a tray of 6-8 in Asda and they saved me a job of making any and they fit on the stand perfectly.
I hope you enjoyed reading, I just thought this post was a little different today, let me know if you found it interesting.
